Run By The Sun Managing Director Simon Butt is a Director of Leicester and Leicestershire's sustainable energy co-operative Green Fox Community Energy, a team of local renewable energy enthusiasts who bring together a wide variety of skills, experience and knowledge to deliver community based sustainable energy projects.

The team at Green Fox has recently been advising the Harborough Energy Group on a solar panel installation to be completed on Robert Smyth Academy in Market Harborough.

Harborough Energy Group like Green Fox is a not-for-profit co-operative hoping to raise £183,600 through an investment scheme giving people from Market Harborough and the surrounding area the opportunity to buy shares in the project.

668 solar panels to be installed on Robert Smyth Academy

Robert Smyth Academy will generate its own power from 668 solar panels set to be installed on the academy roof as well as Archway House Natural Health Centre.

Investors are expected to received a 5% return on their investment over the 20 year period and the project is eligible for income tax relief. Besides the financial benefits, the project will dramatically improve the carbon footprints of both buildings involved.

If you're looking for a local and ethical investment opportunity, you have until 9th November in which to purchase shares with a minimum investment of £100 for people in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
